Beautiful accommodation in a most wonderful setting. The view from the cottage is outstanding and the walks along the river in both directions are very peaceful.

River Cottage has been a little bit of heaven for us! A very comfortable place to stay in a superb setting. An excellent location for those interested in wildlife, with many birds on the river and Minsmere nearby.

We have really enjoyed our third stay in River Cottage. A great week blessed with lovely weather. Lots of highlights but we really enjoyed the changing landscape as the tides ebbed and flowed. Also Orford Ness, music at Snape Maltings, Shingle Street and, of course, canoeing to Snape.

The view never disappoints. We've seen whimbrel, curlew, godwits, little egret and a spotted redshank! Lunch with a friend at the Maltings' concert hall café was excellent.

Perfect cottage, perfect location. Would highly recommend. Great meal at the King's Head, Orford. Definitely walk to Snape Maltings and all the local beaches are lovely. Will definitely come again!

Our third stay at River Cottage and the view gets better and better! Last year it was the subject of a painting completed when we got home to remind us what a magical place this is! We were able to enjoy meals at the Butley Oysterage in Orford, the Anchor in Walberswick and, our favourite, the Lighthouse in Aldeburgh.

Beautifully fitted and kept hideaway cottage. Amazing views and wildlife. We chased the sunrise on our last morning and nearly made it!
